ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE
Art Unit Head at The American University in Cairo (2001-2005)
Started the Art Major, added sculpture and photography to the course catalogue, added a new full time position in art history, moved to the new Falaki campus where we doubled our studio space and started the Falaki Gallery. In five years we went from 0-66 Art majors. Responsibilities included the addition of twelve part time faculty and designing new Selected Topics courses every semester.

Student Highlights - AUC
Graduating Art majors in February 2006 and June 2006 won the Ahmed Zewail Prize for Excellence in the Sciences and the Humanities, awarded for an essay written by an honors student whose academic accomplishments demonstrate extraordinary commitment to the pursuit of scientific inquiry and the affirmation of humanistic values. In 2005 an alumna had her painting accepted into the collection of the Egyptian Museum of Modern Art. Students participated in semester abroad programs studying at The University of Massachusetts (Amherst), The American University in D.C. and the University of Washington.
Marlboro College 1993-1997
"Celebrating Creativity Lecture Series" 1994-1996
Designed and organized a two year lecture series to promote creativity across the disciplines. Helped to procure and was director of the $8,000 grant from the Vermont Council on the Humanities.
Drury Art Gallery 1994-1996
A two year project involving the design and building of the college art gallery.
Baber Art Building 1996
Consulted with the architect on designing and building new studio space.
"Drawings by Sculptors" 1996
Curator for the opening show of the Drury gallery, borrowing works from the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University.
